Dear Colleague,
At the last meeting of the Young Union Officials Network it was decided to hire an information stall at the 2002 Big Day Out Music Festival. The Big Day Out is held at the Sydney Showgrounds (Homebush Bay) on 26 January 2002 and attracts over 50,000 young people. At last year's BDO over 60 people applied to join a union with some directly filling out membership forms with affiliates represented at the stall. Labor Council will be hiring the stall. If affiliates would like an official to attend we can arrange for tickets to be purchased at the discounted price of $80 each. However I will need to know by 3 pm Thursday 29 November 2001 if you require passes. Another meeting of the Young Union Officials Network will be scheduled shortly to discuss the final details of the information stall.
