Large Employers Moving Recruitment Back In-house
By Workplace Express
After outsourcing a major part of their recruitment efforts, major employers in Australia - such as allfinanz company Suncorp - have begun reversing the process, according to the head of a recruitment management consulting company.
Alexander Mann Solutions managing director Mike Chapman told an audience of more than 600 HR managers at last week's HR Summit in Sydney that the shift would lead to these employers slashing their spending on advertising and reducing their dependence on external recruiters.
Just five months after it moved much of its recruitment in-house, Suncorp has slashed the proportion of new employees hired via external recruiters from 60% to 10%, according to Chapman.
