International Framework Agreements

At least 21 international framework agreements have now been signed between multinational companies and global union federations.

Many of these are in industries long dominated by multinationals, such as the car and chemical industries. At the recent ITF Congress in Vancouver it was agreed that the transport unions would consider using such agreements. This article outlines what the agreements are about and how they differ from codes of conduct.
