Chris Christodoulou

Chris Christodoulou

Position: Deputy Assistant Secretary

Chris was elected Deputy Assistant Secretary (Organising) in February of 2000. Chris joined Labor Council in 1999 as the Senior Industrial Officer. Chris started full time work in the union movement in 1981 when he was elected Wollongong Sub-Branch Secretary of the Miscellaneous Workers Union (now LHMU). Chris went on to hold several positions within the National Office of the LHMU including National Research Officer and Assistant National Secretary.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wollongong. Chris has previously been an Executive Member of the South Coast Labour Council, Chairperson of the ACTU Migrant Workers Committee, Director of HESTA Superannuation, Chairperson of the Health Industry Advisory Board and a member of the Settlement Advisory Council in the former Keating Government.

Currently Chris represents Labor Council as a Member of the Wollongong Sports Ground Trust, a Member of the Department of Fair Trading Advisory Council, a Member of the Corrections Industry Advisory Council and a Director of the Sydney Olympic Park Authority.
